Third Saturday Social - April - The Ayurvedic Clock with Jill

Last Time with Jill we covered why some people inherently joyous, while others carry the weight of the world on their shoulders? Modern genetics offers some insight, but what about the characteristics and idiosyncrasies that make every person unique? Ayurveda answers all of these questions with the Three Doshas: VataPitta, and Kapha.

The doshas are biological energies found throughout the human body and mind. They govern all physical and mental processes and provide every living being with an individual blueprint for health and fulfillment.

The doshas derive from the Five Elements and their related properties. 

  • Vata is composed of Space and Air, 

  • Pitta of Fire and Water, and 

  • Kapha of Earth and Water.

Jill will be giving us a bird’s eye view on what will be happening in the 12 week Special Series starting in March, guiding us through 10 habits of building health in all major areas of our life.

  4. gain tools to use in day to day life that will keep you in harmony.

Teaching Private Yoga

In this workshop teachers will learn how to plan and teach a private yoga session. Private yoga sessions are an invaluable experience for students to deepen their practice and receive important feedback. Teachers are able to apply their specialties and use their knowledge to a fuller extent than a class setting. The central focus is to understand correct structuring of privates and how teaching a private differs from a class setting. Participants will have the opportunity to create a partial private, demonstrate and receive feedback in class. The goal is for every teacher to walk away feeling confident working one on one with a student.
